In the final cozy days before Christmas, this is what we’re making. A seasonal broccoli quiche made with Everyday Cooking Oil — warm, unfussy, and made for gathering. Topped with our herby Pizza Oil, adding the perfect amount of spice and heat for a savory finish.
Ingredients
- Broccoli, shaved or very thinly sliced
- Brightland Everyday Cooking Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper
- Granulated garlic
- Honey
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 4 oz parmesan or cheddar cheese, shredded or grated (plus more for topping)
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- Brightland Pizza Oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425. Shave / slice thin very small pieces of broccoli and coat generously in Everyday Cooking Oil.
- Now coat in salt, pepper, granulated garlic, and a drizzle of honey. Bake for 12 minutes while you prepare your batter.
- Whisk two large room temp eggs. Add in your cheese of choice, AP flour, 1 tsp salt, lots of fresh cracked pepper, whole milk, and your cooked broccoli.
- Pour batter into a well greased 8 inch pie plate or cake pan lined with parchment. Bake for 30 minutes until nicely browned and bubbled up.
- Remove and top with more cheese, pepper, and my favorite brightland product - pizza oil. This holds the perfect amount of spice and heat for anything savory you make, and elevates the flavors perfectly.
